Reciycle the fender woods from the demolished Wan Chai Pier in Hong Kong.

The designers used fender woods collected from the demolished Wan Chai Pier in Hong Kong to fabricate tables, benches, stools, and “Ocean cubes”. The hundred-year-old fender woods had been immersed in the harbor for more than 40 years.

The designers categorized fender woods into three types according to their levels of erosion and designated each type for different furniture table and long benches; those moderately eroded was for coffee table and short benches; woods  that were seriously defaced were for stools and a special furniture of what the called “Ocean Cubes”.

“Ocean Cubes” preserve the eroded wood with ocean-blue resin; the idea is to return the fender wood into the ocean, just like the old days at Wan Chai Pier.
